Land Use Applications

Public notice for all active land use permits in unincorporated Multnomah County are found here.

The public is welcome to make comments on Public Land Use Applications. Once a comment is made, that person is on record for the project and will receive updates on the project.

The Code Standard is the Land Use Planning department’s guide when reviewing applications. Conditional Use reviews are more discretionary, so planners will consider public input.

The Multnomah County Comprehensive Plan is the general plan for the county, along with State Legislation. After a thorough review process, the Zoning Code will reflect the Comprehensive Plan and State Legislation.

To be more involved with Land Use Planning:

• talk with your local Planning Commissioner

• attend Planning Commission meetings

• be involved with the Zoning Code Improvement Project (2025 - 2027)

• help develop budget priorities as a Community Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC) member for Multnomah County
